So everyone loves seeing/taking pictures of kids falling asleep while eating, or sitting on the toilet, or in the doorway or other funny places. Well, I got a good one the other night.
Andy and I had gone on a date and it was late. I took the babysitter home and honestly expected to see Andy in bed asleep. He'd had a rough week at school and I knew he was exhausted. I was quite surprised when I went downstairs to turn off the computer to find him playing a video game. I figured he'd be done in a few so I goofed off a bit on facebook for about 20 minutes. By then I was exhausted and decided that I was going to bed and if he wanted to stay up and play his game that was fine but I was going to bed. As I headed out to let him know I was going to bed, I found this:
He was so sound asleep I had to SHAKE him to wake him up. The next morning I asked him why he had stayed up and he told me that when I went to take the babysitter home he remembered he had to talk to me about something and he knew if he got ready for bed he would fall asleep. This really made me laugh because when I got home, as far as I could remember we didn't really talk about anything, or at least anything that would have required him to stay up to tell me.

that is impressive. i've watched my kids fall asleep in all manner of positions and activities but none of them have fallen asleep while playing a video game.
