July:
In July my sister-in-law, Effie, her youngest three kids; Todd, Tanner, and Morgan, her sister, Krysti, and her two youngest; Kourtney and Jeff, came out for visit. It was so fun to have them come out. Andy was pulling apart the rotten boards on the deck and Todd, Tanner, and Jeff helped. Todd had Jonathan and Jade convinced that he was Bob the builder. They called him that the whole time he was here. (They even continued calling him Bob the builder this April when we were together again for my niece's wedding). I remember taking pictures of the deck while they were working, but I don't know where they are.
Krysti and her kids had never been to the ocean before so we went to
Indian Beach. It was a BEAUTIFUL day. I had spent the whole day before
telling them about the Oregon beach, and how it is NOT like the beaches
that they show in the movies. But of course the one day we went was
GORGEOUS. It was warm and not too windy. Everyone got in the water and
played except me. It was a highlight of their trip for everyone. (warning, picture heavy)
