So as you can tell, I didn't get to tell you about December the next day. So I've decided to do a quick recap of what has happened the past little while. So here is Dec, Jan, and Feb.
December:
Furnace tried to kill us. Yup you read that right, our furnace spent who knows how long building up carbon monoxide and then in one day tried to pump it through the house. THANKFULLY, I had a carbon monoxide detector. It went to no levels of monoxide to deadly levels in just a few minutes (because of how our furnace blew we wouldn't have any symptoms first). I will never forget the look on the repairman's face when I told him the levels the firemen had said were at the furnace. When I asked him if that was bad, he looked me in the eye and told me those are the levels that you don't wake up from. So if you don't have a carbon monoxide detector GET ONE!!!!
Remember when I said we couldn't spend Thanksgiving with family because of lice so we were going to spend Christmas? Well, that didn't go smoothly either. We decided to make the 16 hour (with all the stops for little kids) in just one day. So we got up early and left thinking the kids would fall back asleep and we'd get breakfast in The Dallas. Well, we were wrong. The kids didn't go back to sleep and while we did get breakfast at The Dallas, we also ate lunch. As we pulled up the off ramp and stopped at the stop sign at the top of the ramp our transmission went "thunk". I had always thought that was just a "saying", but no, we heard this "THUNK" and then we had NO gears, not drive, reverse, park, nothing all we had was neutral. So after spending 5 hours in The Dallas, we rented a car and finished out trip to Idaho Falls and had a WONDERFUL Christmas.
Taking out the frustration that we have felt for this van since we left Utah.
January:
In January I noticed that there was a puddle under our water heater, so that had to be replaced. (Whose idea was it to save money and NOT renew the $4oo home warranty??? ARGGG!!!)
February:
This was a pinched nerve and I was diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency (here in Oregon, not enough sun??? Shocking!). Pretty low key looking at the other months. I also had the chance to fly to Provo and hear my niece Nicole, who is majoring in Flute at BYU, play her Junior recital. She didn't know I was coming and it was so fun to surprise her. It was AMAZING. She can do things with a flute I had no idea you could do. It was a HIGHLIGHT!! And I actually have pictures of that. :D
