Christiana FINALLY did it!!

I signed Christiana and Hunter up for swimming lessons and today was the first lesson. Christiana has been afraid of putting her head in the water since she was about two years old. We are not talking just at a swimming pool, we are talking even in the bathtub!! I have been putting her in swimming lessons off and on since she was 4, but figured when she was ready she would put her head under. She had been slowly getting better, as in at about 6 she stopped freaking out when we had her put her head down in the bathtub to wash shampoo out. About a year ago, it hit Andy and I that she is going to be turning 8 soon, and if she was going to be baptized we really needed to get more proactive. We decided that if she didn't get any better after this group of swimming lessons we were going to splurge and give her private lessons and see if that wouldn't help. So today at swimming lessons, it finally happened!! She willingly put her head under the water!!!! I know it doesn't seem that much to you, but it is HUGE to us as this means we are done fighting her with bath time and such. Hopefully this will continue.

As for Hunter, he also went under the water... of course that was because he stepped off the platform (the water was about 4 feet deep, so the pool had put these platforms in to make it shallower). The important part is that when his teacher pulled him up he just wiped up his face and kept dancing around. He did almost fall off one more time, what a kid!
