Job

Well a while ago I mentioned that Andy was putting in his letter of interest for the Math Division Chair. I said that when Andy asked he was told that three people put their letter in, so we felt our odds were pretty good. Then Andy was talking to, I believe, Joe who was the current Division Chair and he said who the three people were and Andy was not one of the three named. Joe told him to talk to John (the one in charge if I remember correctly) and find out what happened and make sure his name was considered. I took this as a good sign because this was at least a week or two past when the letters were due and Joe, instead of saying "Oh well, that's too bad." told him to get his letter in. Andy resent his letter of interest and was added to the running.

Well, Andy just called today and he has been asked to come in on Friday and have an interview for Division Chair!!! We are quite excited!! I had figured he didn't make the cut since we hadn't heard anything for so long. Keep your fingers crossed!!
