(These pictures were taken on Saturday night/Sunday. We have since received several more inches and it is still snowing. Updated pictures will be coming.)
Well, a huge storm has hit Portland. I have to say I'm really quite impressed with it. It would be considered a good storm in Idaho or Utah. You know a few inches.
This is by our car 11 inches.
If you look close you can see the hole where the ruler was.
Church was cancelled once again today. Ask anyone in the choir and we are all glad because we haven't practiced as a choir for three weeks. Last week do to weather and the week before we had done sectionals.
We took the kids out to play in it today. It was Jade's first time in the snow. Due to the freezing rain we had last night there was about quarter inch of ice on top of everything, so Jade just sat on top of it. She just crawled around the whole yard. She wasn't so keen when she fell in one of the kids holes. Jonathan.....he was fine until the first time he fell through the crust then he was content to just stand and watch everyone. The older kids loved it!! (including Andy who worked really hard to break the ice to make a snow angel.)
I am very glad that we FINALLY seem to be over the sickness (for the most part). It was killing me to have had all this snow over the past week and not let the kids out to play in it. Jonathan is very much on the BRAT diet (we had a complete, as in all over the floor, blowout yesterday). Jade is somewhat on the BRAT diet, but we are slowly taking her off it. We have gone three nights without someone throwing up. The last time we went this long was when Hunter was sick the very first time, it was then three nights before the next child was sick. Andy was pretty sick, he took two days off of school this past week (so he only had school one day last week.) I did get a little sick, but I never threw up, I figure I did enough with Jade I could sit this one out. :)
Here are the rest of our snow pictures.
Before, and yes those are socks on Hunter's and Jonathan's hands. Hunter misplaced his and we didn't have any Jonathan's size.
This is by the Buick (parked on the street) there is over a foot of snow there, I'd guess about 14 or 15 inches.
