How do you know when your kids are truly in school? When they say they have a project due on Monday and it's Sunday. :) While that didn't quite happen with us (we had 4 days of warning) it was a little crazy Saturday and Sunday to finish Christiana's first school project: a Leprechaun Trap.
Christiana came home on Wed and said she had to make a Leprechaun trap that was due on Monday, but when we went to get started on it, she had forgotten the paper that had the directions (I didn't count this day in the above count because we couldn't work on it). Then we had Thursday, Friday but with prior commitments we couldn't work on it. However, as per directions she was suppose to make a list of supplies (we weren't allowed to purchase anything) and draw out her design so we did have her do that. Then Saturday was busy also so the first time we were able to sit down and really work on it uninterrupted was after we put the other kids to bed. So we worked on it Saturday night until about 8:30 and then finished it up on Sunday (again after the kids went to bed, but since Hunter wasn't feeling good everyone went down early). I then took her to school this morning so that it made it to school in one piece. Here are pictures as well as a video with Christiana explaining how it works. Enjoy!!
