Seattle

After my wild weekend with Utah and then the roadshow, I slept all day on Sunday. I was completely exhausted after that many late nights and early mornings. After recuperating on Sunday, I had three days to do laundry, clean the house, and pack again for Andy's and my trip to Seattle. It was a busy three days, but I got it all done and Andy and I left for his International Calculator conference (can you say MATH GEEK!) in Seattle. As the conference fell over my birthday, this was my present also. Andy's folks came up to watch the kids.
We had a wonderful time just hanging out. On Friday, I did some sight-seeing while Andy was in his conference. I went to Pike's Market and the Pacific Science Center, and just walked around. On Saturday, Andy had more time so we walked around the Space Needle (it's almost $20 to go up....so we were quite content to keep both our feet on the ground, especially since we are both afraid of heights.) Then we walked along the waterfront. We found some wonderful places to eat and just enjoyed the quiet without four kids.
this goofy picture is at the IMAX w/ 3-d glasses for the movie Under the Sea There was a butterfly area in the Pacific Science Center. It was VERY cool!! You had to literally watch where you stepped! This is a picture of a Naked Mole Rat. This is an inside Joke with Andy, but I had to post a picture. This was the view from our hotel room. We were only on the 16th floor. Out on the wharf.

We came home on Sunday to a delicious birthday dinner of pork chops, salad, mashed potatoes, and more. Nancy had also made a birthday cake, so we had cake and ice cream and opened my present. I got a TV quilt from Nancy!! I am quite excited about it as this is only the second quilt we have received from her and she makes BEAUTIFUL quilts!

This is my cake. Opening my quilt the front the back
