Cake Class #5

Sugar molds and figure pipping.

YUK!!!
Okay, so I have run across my first cake class that I really didn't like. I don't know what it was, but just not that into it. The funny thing is this is how I thought I would feel about the whole group of classes. Nice, interesting, but I just want to know that what I'm doing is correct and maybe add a little more to the cakes I make. However, I was wrong. I have absolutely LOVED the classes. I look forward to them each week and love learning and trying out the new things Sally (our teacher) talks about. While I don't foresee a career change, I can easily see me making cakes for friends and such. But last night, it was different. I was not overly interested in learning about figure pipping, so maybe that made a difference in how the class went. I don't know. But the sugar molding was interesting and I am going to attempt that again for my piano recital (centerpiece for the cake for refreshments)
Anyway, here are the pics in no particular order, there are ducks, swans, storks, a clown, and a pink elephant.

I don't know why the camera wouldn't focus, but this was the best I could get. Notice the "diving ducks" those were kinda fun to make

Those are cute! I like the elephant especially. It's funny that this was your least favorite because I imagine this would've been my favorite class... though, how often do you need to make birds?

I just want you to know that I am now thinking about taking a cake decorating class here in Iowa City because I absolutely love all the cakes that you post. I like the sugar animals, they're cute. They look complicated though...but I love all your cakes!!
