Well, Jonathan is now 2 years old. Hard to believe its been two years since we had that emotional rollercoaster. In some ways it feels like forever ago since Jonathan was in the NICU, and other times I feel like it was just yesterday. Especially on days when he has a cold and is having a harder time breathing. I'm always so worried it going to turn into pnemonia again. At his doctor appointment the doc still heard a heart murmmur and had an X-ray and EKG test done on him. Jonathan's heart is a little large so we are going to see a pediatric cardiologist to see if it's a problem or just a result of his size (more info on that later). At this point I'm just taking it in stride. I'm not too worried, we'll just wait and see what the cardiologist says when we have that appointment.
He is such a cute little boy. He went from not talking to saying his first word at about 20 months to sentences within about a month. He says the cutest things!! Whenever he asks to do something or have something and I say yes he says "YEA!!" It just makes me smile. Yesterday he came up and said "I love you." That was the first time he's said it without prompting.
So my comment about him being a little boy, well, that's not quite true. At his 2 year appointment he was weighed and measured like normal. Well for weight he's at the 95% which seems heavy until you look at his height which is WAY above the 95% line. If he were three instead of two he'd be on the 75% line for his age, just to give you an idea of how tall he is. We are so proud of him. :)
Jonathan, you are such a joy in our life. We love your excitment for everything! You have been so fun to watch grow and discover and I can't wait to watch you learn even more!!
Love
