The Blue Man Group

Okay, so there must be something that runs in the Okeson genes. When my sister's youngest was about two; her older siblings left the markers out. When Claire found Julie, did she find marker all over the walls????? No, Julie had stripped down and had used her body as the canvas. Well, it has happened again. Christiana wanted to make a birthday card for her music teacher this morning before school. Hunter had wanted to make a card too, so I had no problem with it, and let him color too. Then I sent Christiana off to school and started working on my stuff, not paying attention to what Hunter was doing because 1. we've never had problems with him writing on anything but the paper, and 2. he's 4. So he comes up to me after a little while and says, "Look at my face!!" Yup, he had marker all over his face, but I could tell it had been rubbed there, not drawn there so I asked to see his hands. I'm thinking a marker had exploded or he had grabbed the tip of the marker or something. But I was WRONG!!! He had taken the blue marker and colored his hands. I would say they were about 80% COMPLETELY covered in blue marker. Thankfully Jonathan (whom we have had trouble with writing on the walls) wasn't around to see what Hunter had done. So now my little 4 year old is a memeber of the the "Blue Man" Group.

Here's a quick update on the house situation. The lending company has decided (don't ask me how they can do this) to not worry about the IRS paperwork, however they have asked for more paperwork. Our lock ends tomorrow, so things are interesting here still. But it looks like we will have possesion of the house before Saturday when we are moving out of our apartment.

ACK! Markers terrify me. We're crayons and colored pencils all the way. You are a brave woman.

Good luck with the house and all associated craziness. I think all house buying experiences have to have some nightmare elements to them, but yours certainly takes the cake.

My fingers are crossed hoping you get in before Saturday!

You make me feel so special using me in your blog, all the more that you spelled my name wrong! :)
