Christiana's new school

So yesterday I took Christiana to see her new school (East Gresham, Eagles)and get the paperwork to register her. She was a little scared, i.e. was hiding behind me. I was talking to the secretary and she guessed Christiana was in the 3rd grade. Ah, good to see those height genes at work. Christiana popped her head out from behind me and said no 1st grade then hid her head again. So I got all the paperwork and then the principal came out so we got to meet him (no I don't remember what his name is). I asked if we could look around and so the principal took us on a tour of the school. As we were walking down the hall, a teacher was walking up. Christiana was peeking around me a little bit as the principal was showing the gym and cafeteria. One of the times she peeked around she saw this teacher and OUT she popped!!! "MS. Z-W!!!!" Her music teacher from Kindergarten is now at East Gresham elementary. After that, this school wasn't so bad and Christiana no longer hid behind me. It seems like a nice school, the cafeteria and library are about double the size of Gilbert Parks. There are 4 1st grade classes, the only year to have 4 classes. Christiana is quite excited to go here now. They get breakfast IN the classroom (at G.P. you have to go to the cafeteria) and you get 4 or 5 options for lunch (you only get 2 or 3 at G.P.) See these things are apparently important. After seeing the school, and running a couple of errands for me, we went out to dinner. One of the things I like about my kids, is that the LOVE Wendy's. It has been a shock to move here after Utah where there are Wendy's everywhere and here there are NO Wendy's in SE Portland. But our new home is by a Wendy's so life is good again!!!

Carrie - How fun to see your blog! I can't wait to go through your previous posts and see what your family has been up to. :)

This is a really cute story about Christiana - I can't believe how old she is... last time I saw her she was in my sunbeam class!
