Lemonade: Lemons *check*.....Sugar............*still looking*

Okay, So when it rains it pours. I just want you to know I had this post all ready and was spell checking it, and somehow I deleted it, so here I go again.

So, Our car......its a lemon. It has taken us just over two years to come to that knowledge. So here's the past history for those who don't know and then I'll let you know what has finalized that our car is a LEMON!

When I was pregnant with Jonathan we decided it was time to move to a minivan (since 3 car seats wouldn't fit in the back seat of our car). So finding a minivan in Utah in our price range was.........difficult to say the least. We found one, a Dodge and knowing that Dodges are known to have bad transmissions we still bought it cause you get what you can get. So when Jonathan was three months old we went to a family reunion in Michigan, and that's when the trouble started.

To make a LONG story short we have:
Replaced the transmission TWICE (1st time in NY 2nd time was still under warranty)
Put 2 new tires on
Changed brakes (more than necessary)
Replaced parts broken/lost from junk yard
Fixed Serpentine belt that fell off (or so we thought)
Replaced windshield (2 weeks ago....FYI when you shut your door, the windshield should not bounce)
Fixed leak (as in water coming into the car, one we never would have discovered in Utah)
This is not to mention all the other things Andy has done ( and I remember taking other things apart but can't remember why).

So that is our lemon, let me tell you what sealed the deal. Yesterday, we took the family to Lowe's to purchase our new front door and stuff to make a computer nook (we had a coupon for 10% off). So we pick up the stuff for the nook and go to order the door when we realize Andy had forgotten to grab the dimensions. So we leave our stuff there (we didn't want to buy what we had cause we wanted to use the coupon on everything.) and head home to get the dimensions. Its late so Andy will just run back and purchase everything as I had already made the decorative choices. Well, just after we get off the freeway, Andy says Uh oh, the power steering went out. Then a few minutes later the battery light comes on and then the temp SPIKES! Luckily we are stopped at a light next to a conviance store, so we pull into the parking lot and turn off the car. Andy hops out knowing that this is what happened when the serpentine belt fell off last time and sure enough, its happened again. So we call a tow truck (Andy is now a FIRM believer in having towing in your insurance as we've had to use it twice now in the past 6 months.) So the tow truck takes Andy home (we are luckily just a mile away from our appt) and all four kids and I go wait in the store. Let me tell you, three mobile kids, up two hours past their bedtime in a store......need I say more. I'm not sure who was more excited when Andy came back with our reliable Buick, me or the clerk. So we all piled in to the Buick and went home. Thankfully, we were only a mile away from home and no cops pulled us over. Were we all buckled.....technically yes, but Christiana is required to have a booster and didn't and Jade's seat belt didn't stay tight around her car seat. But we made it. So now I'm stuck at home until Andy can get it fixed (obviously what he tried last time didn't work). Thankfully on Saturday my FIL will be coming up to help Andy and if they can't fix it, my FIL has three cars right now so he will lend us one of his cars so I can get to the new house and get it ready to move into.

Timing is EVERYTHING!!!! The best part is, even though we know its a lemon, because our entire savings is going into purchasing this house there is nothing we can do but stick a band aid on our "flesh wound" (from Monty Python) and hope for the best.

Can someone help find the SUGAR!!!!!!!!!!
