Class this week was about flowers. I was both excited and nervous about how it would be. I had done a rose the week before for the carriage cake and it wasn't too bad. She had said we would learn the hardest first and then get easier as the night went on. The rose was the first one we were going to learn about, but you never know.
Yea, the rose was not the hardest, I would say (as would the rest of the class) that the wild rose was the hardest. I never did get it down that night. After spending three hours on the flowers, I could tell I was going to be needing lots of practice as I had only finished about a dozen flowers. So last night after I put the kids to bed (Andy was still at work, gotta love it when grades are due), I pulled out my left over flower frosting and started working. I still need a lot of practice, but at least I was able to get a few wild roses to look somewhat like our teacher's wild roses. So here are some pictures after last night. The flowers (at least the good ones) will get used on our final cake...a wedding type cake (as in learning to stack them). I think mine will be an interesting looking cake with all the different colors and types of flowers, oh well.

The real question is can you guess what kind of flower they are before I tell you....

Starting at the top: Daffodils next picture clockwise: Sweet Pea, Grape bunch, bachelor button, mum, rose Last Picture clockwise: Wild rose, Daisy, sweet Pea, rose bud, sweet pea.
