Yesterday I had my first cake decorating class. It was quite enjoyable. I have already learned some things about the cakes that I have made and how I could have made them better. This is what we did yesterday.
Today was Jonathan's 3 yr old doc appointment. He is doing fine. Jonathan is in the 75% for a 4 year old, and just under the 50% line for a 5 year old. He is so far above the lines for his year that I like to see where he is at for other ages.

We had Jonathan's birthday party on Monday. It was so beautiful we had a BBQ with Hamburgers and hot dogs. It was very fun. He got Rocket (from Little Einsteins) which was very exciting.
Then we brought out a little t-ball set that I picked up at a consignment sale. That was okay, I think it was more of a hit for the littler ones.

I was going to get his reaction on camera, but he followed Andy into the garage, so I missed it. But here he is coming out of the garage with his new toy. His first reaction when he saw it was (according to Andy) his eyes got really big and he got all excited and called it Rocket. As you can tell, he LOVES Little Einsteins.
So I need some help. I have this stress in my life....my house needs to be painted.
I had an idea of what I wanted, but I saw a house similar to what I was thinking, and I didn't like it. Let me tell you why this is so hard.
I had an idea of what I wanted, but I saw a house similar to what I was thinking, and I didn't like it. Let me tell you why this is so hard. First, the Brick.
Our house has just a little bit of brick in the front as you can see from the picture.
Our house has just a little bit of brick in the front as you can see from the picture. Second, our neighbors. They just painted their house and it is very striking, and the house next to them is um....unique (think sea foam green). So while I'm not wanting a sea foam green house, I don't want ours to look dingy, or dull, or whatever. So what do I do?? Do I ignore the brick and do what I want. Do I paint over the brick...and again do what I want. Do I try and incorporate the brick...somehow. The brick is kind of a pale pink/peach to a dark orange/brownish. So you know, easy to work with. Do you see my dilemma???? So all you people I need INPUT!!!!!!

Well what color are you thinking?? Greens, like sage, (NOT sea foam) would go fine or a beige or cream color... I'm curious what color YOU want! Let us know if you want help painting!!

That's tricky, with the brick. I think beige or sage green would also look nice and bright, but not scary bright. Even just adding some color to the garage and front doors would look nice, too.
Love the cake decorating!!!
Forget the painting and go have fun with your kids. They grow up way too fast. Trent turns 18 on Sunday!!! How did that happen?
